If you want to shutdown the computer after Chrome has finished downloading a file, follow these easy steps:

  1. Download the extension Shutdown. This extension will close Chrome once a download is finished. Unfortunately it cannot shutdown the computer
  2. Download the program Shutter. It can be dowloaded as a portable application.

Shutter allows you to shutdown your pc when a certain event occurs. Select “Window”.

In the “title of the window” select one of the Chrome windows…and you are done.

When the download is complete, Shutdown will close Chrome and when Shutter sees the Chrome window closing, will shutdown the pc.
